What is Teepster?

Teepster is a fantasy golf platform where you and a group of friends each pick professional golfers before a tournament, then earn points based on how those golfers actually finish. It runs as a web app at app.teepster.com, so it works on any phone or laptop with no download. A league organiser, called a commissioner, creates a league, chooses one of five formats and shares an invite link. From there Teepster handles everything a spreadsheet can’t: tournament fields, pick deadlines, live scoring, standings and weekly reminders. It is free to play, involves no gambling of any kind, and covers the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf in one account.

How fantasy golf works on Teepster

1. Create a league

Sign up free, name your league and choose a format and tour. Decide which tournaments count: the full season, the majors only, or anything in between.

2. Invite your group

Share one invite link by text, WhatsApp or email. Friends join in under a minute, and there is no minimum group size.

3. Make your picks

Choose your golfers before the first tee time. Teepster sends reminders and locks picks automatically when the tournament starts.

4. Follow the leaderboard

Scores update every round. Standings, stats, league chat and achievement badges keep the group talking all season.

Five fantasy golf formats

Every league runs one format. New groups usually start with One & Done; stats fans graduate to Tiers or The Ton.

One & Done

Pick one golfer per tournament. Once you have used a golfer, they are gone for the season. Best for: First-time and casual groups.

Tiers

Golfers are grouped into tiers by world ranking. Pick one from each tier; their combined finishing positions are your score. Best for: Mixed-skill groups.

Survivor

Pick one golfer a week. If they miss the threshold your group sets (make the cut, top 30, top 10) you lose a life. Best for: Groups who love weekly drama.

The Ton

Pick four golfers whose world rankings add up to 100 or more. The lowest combined finish wins the week. Best for: Stats fans and value hunters.

Super League

Tiers picks every week, with points rolling into one season-long championship table. Best for: Clubs and serious season-long comps.

Fantasy golf FAQs

Fantasy golf is a game where you pick real professional golfers before a tournament and score points based on how they actually play. In most formats your score comes from your golfers’ finishing positions, and the best total wins the week. Points carry across the season into a league table, so consistency matters as much as one great pick. On Teepster you play in a league against people you know. The app loads each tournament’s field, locks picks when play starts and updates the leaderboard as scores come in, so nobody has to keep a spreadsheet.

Yes. Anyone can sign up, join a league and make picks without paying, and leagues of up to five players are free to run. Larger leagues are paid for by the organiser, from $40 a season for up to 20 players, or the organiser can ask each player to cover a small joining fee instead. A Teepster Pro membership removes ads, adds advanced stats and covers joining costs for any league. Teepster is not a gambling product: you play for points and bragging rights, and no real money is ever won or lost.

Teepster covers the PGA Tour, the DP World Tour and LIV Golf, all from one account. When you create a league you choose which tour and which tournaments count: a full season, the majors only, a single event such as the Masters, or a custom run of events. That makes it easy to run a season-long PGA Tour league with one group and a LIV Golf or DP World Tour league with another at the same time. Tournament fields, tee times and results load automatically, so there is no manual set-up each week.

One & Done is the easiest place to start. You pick one golfer for each tournament, and once you have used a golfer you cannot pick them again that season. The rules take 30 seconds to explain, but the strategy is real: use your best players early, or save them for the majors? Groups that want more depth usually move to Tiers, where you pick one golfer from each world-ranking tier, or The Ton, where four golfers’ rankings must add up to at least 100. Survivor suits groups that enjoy elimination, and Super League turns weekly picks into a season-long championship.

Create a free account at app.teepster.com, then create a league. Give it a name, pick a format and choose which tournaments count. Teepster gives you a private invite link to share in your group chat, and friends join in under a minute from any phone or computer. Before each tournament everyone makes their picks. Teepster sends reminders, locks picks at the first tee time and scores every round automatically. You can run as many leagues as you like, for example One & Done with your mates and Super League with your golf club.

Yes. Golf clubs, social clubs and workplaces use Teepster to run member competitions without spreadsheets. The commissioner sets the format and tournaments, members join through one invite link, and Teepster handles fields, deadlines, scoring and standings for the whole season. Clubs can customise scoring rules, such as bonus points for a major win, and paid league sizes support up to 1,000 players. League chat and weekly updates give members something to talk about between rounds at the club. Most clubs start with Super League for a season-long championship or One & Done for simplicity.

No download is needed. Teepster is a web app at app.teepster.com that works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, tablet or computer, and it is designed for phones first, so making picks takes a few taps. Log in once and you will see your leagues, pick deadlines, live leaderboards and league chat in one place. Pick reminders go out before each deadline so you never miss a tournament, and you can switch between leagues and tours from the same account.
